Catered Full Weekend Menu

There is a catered option for those who will be staying the weekend as outlined in the Accommodation page. 

While we don't have the full menu set down just yet (it's going to be determined by seasonal produce) we've decided to give you an indication of what will likely be on offer.

  Breakfast Menu

- Saturday, Sunday, Monday mornings




  • Bacon and Eggs with hashbrowns and toast

  • Mushrooms and tomatoes with hashbrowns and toast - vegetarian option.

  • Tea & Coffee

 
       
  Friday Night Dinner









BBQ night

  • Steak and Gluten Free Sausages

  • Falafel patties - vegetarian option

  • Salads - Vegetarian and GF

  • Breads (including a GF option)

 
       
  Sunday Night Dinner

      (Extended Day Trippers can purchase this meal)











Sunday Roast
  • Roasts meats - chicken, beef  - depending on recommendations from our butcher at the time.

  • Gravy - with a GF and vegan one as well.

  • Veges – I’m guessing roast spuds, pumpkin, kumara, parsnips, yams, peas, carrots ... again this is subject to seasonal availability.

  • Salads

  • Vegetarian option - Stuffed Pepper or Eggplant - will be Vegan and GF friendly.

 

Saturday Night Feast Menu

 

As has been the case in the past Cauldrons (and the wonderful team of helpers we have surrounded ourselves with) will be catering this dinner feast.   We'll have the spitroast going from sometime in the afternoon to cater for a full meal.  All cutlery and plates are provided by the venue so there is no need to lug around your own.   

Additionally - the dinner will cater for Gluten free/dairy free people, as well as the normal vegetarian options.  If we have an Vegans then just advise us and we can make sure that the food is vegan friendly.   

  Mains:




  • Spitroasted Pork, Beef, Lamb & Chicken

  • Vegetarian Option - A delicious vegan mushroom/zucchini/lentil loaf masterpiece.  It'll taste awesome... I'm going to make sure of it.

     
  Served with:










  • Boiled new potatoes

  • Steamed carrots

  • Minted Garden Peas

  • Served with Gravy - with a GF and vegan one as well.

  • Gourmet Salad selection

  • Fresh buns (as well as a GF option).

     
  Desserts








  • A selection of GF and non-GF dessert options - we're investigating this, but the GF Baked New York cheesecakes and I have a nom nommy Vegan chocolate cake I'm thinking of adding to this dessert menu :)

  • Fresh Fruit Salad - we're making our own so we can make it suitable for those with allergies (citrus free for example).

  • Served with whipped cream and yoghurt.

     

Tea and Coffee will be available throughout the weekend for you to make yourselves.

     

Lunch options

While we aren't offering a prepaid lunch option we will be running the food stall like last year.  The barbie will be fired up to sell sausages, steak sandwiches, bacon butties, falafel in pita and whatever else we can figure to add to it. 

Additionally the kitchen will have sandwiches and/or rolls, hot soup, muffins, brownies and whatever else materialises :)

 

All these lunch options will be available throughout the day (except the BBQ - it will run from 12-1 during the lecture lunch break) at a modest cost.
